About the Event
Cheadle Discovery Group, the local heritage group that owns the Blythe Colours industrial archive, has just released plans for its future Blythe Colours events to celebrate 150 years of Blythe Colours.
A “Memories of Blythe Colours” session is to be held at Cheadle Library on 12 November. This session will be shared with the Community Art project “Crafting Communities” which encourages local people and ex-employees (of Blythe Colours and Johnson Matthey) and their families to share their stories of the factory or of the local community in art form.
Please drop in and bring along old photos and memorabilia to share with your former colleagues. This memories session will also allow individuals to record their memories on a one-to-one basis. Booking is essential for the one to one sessions via the library front desk. A small display of memorabilia and pictures is also planned to coincide with the event.
